MY STORY

About Me

Why, Yes I am an Artist.

I grew up with black & white TV. We had 4 channels on a good day. Mister Rogers was a star from my hometown. It was a good time to be a kid. I had Charles Schultz making Peanuts come alive, every Sunday in the funnies. I remember trying to draw Snoopy and Charlie Brown, after that. Batman '66 was on TV in the afternoon, and that changed everything. I found comic books after that. Fantastic Four and The Avengers. The art was alive for me. They told the stories, just as well as the words did. I always had a pencil and any scrap of paper I could find. So began my life in art. I really started to draw a lot. And by a lot, I mean every day in recess. I couldn't stop. I kept this up all through elementary school, up until high school. So I made the decision to go to art school. I've done some amazing things in my career. I've met some incredibly talented people along the way. Created some great projects. I still enjoy creating "art". I still try and improve on my skills and do some great things. And I think I have succeeded. I still draw from time-to-time. Love any art gallery. And now I can say, I take some pretty good photos now and then. And I am optimistic that the best is yet to come.

Fun Times. From left to right. KISS concert, with full face paint. My favorite photo, that I have taken, of my oldest son Benjamin. Celebrating my youngest son Luke's graduation day. Celebrating Father's day.

Benjamin really likes Mac Miller. So I happened to find this incredible mural on the North Shore of Pittsburgh. I took the shot and made it framed piece for him. This piece makes me thing of Benjamin every time I look at it.

Luke as Doctor Octopus, for Halloween. He was around 11 then. It took us over 3 months to make this costume, completely from scratch. I love how it turned out. He was so excited. Great moment I will never forget.

Hanging with my Boys

Being Dad

There’s no better job than Dad. I love my kids. They are incredible. I have done some of my favorite things while in their company. They kept me on my toes in creating fun things for them to use and to hang on their walls too. And then they started to create on their own. I could have been more proud. I have had a blast watching them see the world in a different light, and I hope they know how much they opened my eyes to so many new things in my life. Whether it be music, art, movies or some cool old art book.
